A Splashing Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. On Thursday we stopped by the nursing home to visit with Terry's grandma and were glad to hear that she was feeling good enough to join us at the restaurant for dinner! There were about 20 of us that were there. Afterwards we followed tradition and 14 of us went to a waterpark resort in WI Dells until Saturday. We ALL enjoyed the fun time with the kids both in and out of the water. Terry's nephew from Texas was also home and joined us for the weekend so that was extra special. We hadn't seen him since he left three years ago. The kids went home with Gma and Gpa but will be coming back later on Monday since they don't have school until Tuesday.

Thanksgiving Lunch

At our little elementary school, it is a tradition for the students to make their Thanksgiving meal each year. The girls' second grade class made the stuffing for their contribution to the meal. Since I have been subbing in the kitchen, it was great fun to watch all the kids come through the line, eager to taste "their" part of the meal! This tradition is just ONE of the benefits of attending a small school.

I had the girls write down what they are thankful for....one is thankful for a mom that gives a lot of hugs, and the other is thankful for the bunnies, YARN and her parents! I can't wait to see what Trevor's list is!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend!
